duh!

I wake up early to a tune so clear in my heart that sings, "it truly is the people in our lives", the ones that we're lucky enough to journey with and meet that make the treat and give the days the meat. I could drive away in a fancy car but if no one is laughing and wishing well in the mirror behind then why spend so much time on ticking land mines. All I'll ever hope to have is my memories, swep t under the rug of my experience woven stream. Tumbling through and trying to sound out my boyhood dreams. What... the... what... is she saying to me. I can't hear because the materials are screaming so loud to "COME GET ME!" Be had! For gotten! All the shit you can't see is laughing at us scrambling to be heard. To-be-scene.<cut>

The air

The air in Southern Utah is crisp and the sun is clear and bright... the weather and seasons are changing and the desert is sharpening itself to the senses! Last night I had the thought, "I'm cold." Where and what is next is always the question for the Artist, the Actor... and more importantly, how will I step excited, invested, and passionate until I get there! The journey, not the destination! As we wake, the chortle of summer can be heard in the distance and the seasons have turned causing shadows and contrast to show that it wasn't simply the noontide glare we thought it was! It was just waiting for it's hue of light to politely hit the earth, just right.

Sam

Sam is my imaginary girlfriend, She lives deep inside, Down deep within. Sam is airy and beautiful, And has lots of friends, And there's never, for Sam, Quite enough men. Sam spends her day drinking orange juice and champagne, She likes small white toast, Topped with marmalade. Sam wonders how she could be so afraid, As the other Imaginaries weren't built so frag-aile. Sam dreams of a family with nice modern lines, Built in structured expectations, That aren't doom or sublime. Sam has a good life, Stored away in my mind, You can hear her screaming, no, Singing, In perfect time.

My Pride

" My P r i d e "  Lyrics by Daniel May A man once told me that I couldn't come back, Our secret too un-safe to be sound. I begged and I plead-ed for my unsworn little life!   That, with him, I'd finally be found. He touched me. He tore me, Deeeep-er and clipped my wings far from the ground. In pieces I fell, Into the swell. Swirling like dust to the ground. My pride is what's keeping me from telling you, The truth, The pain of what's going down. I'm a lost little boy with no sheep to be found and each day just feels like the same. My Mother, She scold me, And told me, "You can be anything that you work to be." But running and jumping through fiery rings, Leaves men singed, Burnt so black they can't see. She held me, and told me... "There's a light at the end of this tunnel! Don't leave befooore it gleeeams." And then she let me go, (with) My pride in tow,

Desert Dead Dreams

"Desert Dead Dreams" I just remembered a dream I had a while ago as I slept *heavy life in tow.  It was about dancing on plateaus in rust red and purple snow Desert is defined as a dry place covered in sand How do you call that in a man Is his dreams like paper plans Flat confetti: meek + bland. When suddenly the wind will blow Grasshopper further than he know.
