The view from a patio on a beautiful New York afternoon. It never was really free, There is always a cost to the purchase we choose to make. And the one we pass on. The sunlight comes and goes and you learn cherish it and run to meet it when it is here. It causes conversation and ideas and the boys to strut a bit more in their step. Down the Ninth Av runway. And War bangs on. (Like some tired old song) We egg, And toss, And bill, And scoff. Running to the light when it comes. Shining, Let in by the sun.
